For more than 25 years, Leaders in Fellowship Together (LIFT) has been pouring into the hearts of women leaders that are, in turn, pouring into the hearts and lives of others.  It is a gift to be called by God to serve and minister to His people. We at LIFT are committed to helping leaders answer that call.

Our desire is to encourage you in your walk with Christ, provide fellowship and help equip you to better serve the ministries you have been asked to steward.  At a LIFT conference you will have opportunities to network with your peers, learn from the experience and expertise of various speakers, and collect tools that will help take your ministry to the next level.

Allow LIFT to help maintain, refresh, and invigorate your love for serving and leading others in Christ.  Please consider joining us in this exciting community of women leaders by becoming a member of LIFT.

In love and stewardship,

Kelly Bettendorf

Kelly Bettendorf — Director

Kelly is passionate about walking alongside women who are seeking a deeper relationship with God and a greater understanding of Him through His word.  She has been serving in women’s ministry at Red Mountain Community Church for 15 years, in various capacities (Bible study teacher, events, speaker, women’s board and women’s staff member).  In addition to adult women, Kelly along with her husband Larry are grateful to have had the opportunity to serve 13 years in youth ministry;  leading, teaching and discipling  high school and college age students.  Always the student herself, Kelly is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Ministry at Phoenix Seminary. One of Kelly’s life verses is Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Cari Apostol – Treasurer

Cari has served in Women’s ministries for more than 40 years as a teacher, mentor, leader, speaker, worship leader and curriculum writer.  Cari particularly enjoys coming alongside women to encourage and strengthen them in becoming all God created them to be.    Her other admitted passion is numbers.  She is fascinated by the precision of numbers and likens them to the simple truths of God:  2+2 still equal 4 today as they did in the beginning just as God is still the same God today as He was in the Beginning.  His truths never change.  Cari was married 47 years to her Sweetheart, Ted, before he changed his address to Heaven; they have 3 kiddos, 3 kiddos-in-love and 8 amazing grands.  Cari’s life verse is: Here am I, Lord. Send me (Isaiah 6:8).  Cari is very grateful that God provided the opportunity to serve on the LIFT team at just the right time in her life.

In addition to serving on the worship team, Carol is currently leading and walking alongside the women at her home church, The Church At Arrowhead. Carol is also a retired nurse with experience in management at the hospital level and clinical informatics at the corporate office.  She has been happily married to husband Kurt since 1976 and raised 2 exceptional children. Her favorite verse is I Corinthians 10:13 “ No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”

Sandy Boettger

Sandy praises God for including her in His work when He wrote I Cor. 1:26, “Not many… wise are chosen.”  It is not out of low self-esteem, but from recognition that without Him she can do nothing.  Since accepting Jesus as her Savior at the age of seven, every calling on her life has been a step of faith, including her position on the LIFT Team.  Five years ago, after several years as a volunteer leader at Trinity Bible Church, Phoenix, she joined the staff as Director of Women’s Ministry.  Aside from her personal roles as wife, mother of two, and grandmother of six, ministry to women has been the most rewarding adventure.  She says, “I am humbled that God would call me, trust me, and choose to use me in blessing others.  It is with great excitement that I choose to cooperate with God in helping ‘encourage and equip’ other women’s ministry leaders.”
